How to submit a takedown notice
Provide: (1) the physical or electronic signature of the rights owner or authorized agent; (2) identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list; (3) identification and reasonably sufficient location of the allegedly infringing material (a specific URL or file ID is preferred); (4) your contact information; (5) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law; and (6) a statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner.
We evaluate notices, may ask for clarification, and act expeditiously to remove or disable access when required. We may also act on actual knowledge or awareness of infringement without a formal notice. We notify the affected uploader and may forward the notice, including the complainant's contact details, to the uploader.
Counter-notification
An uploader who believes material was removed by mistake or misidentification may send a counter-notification containing: (1) the uploader's physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the removed material and its former location; (3) a statement under penalty of perjury of a good-faith belief that the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification; (4) name, address, and telephone number; and (5) consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the uploader's address (or, if outside the U.S., any district where Company may be found) and acceptance of service from the original complainant or its agent.
On receiving a valid counter-notification, we promptly forward it to the complainant. Where legally applicable, we may restore access no sooner than 10 and no later than 14 business days after receipt, unless our agent first receives notice that the complainant has filed an action seeking a court order restraining the infringing activity. Other lawful grounds for removal may independently prevent restoration.
Repeat infringement
We maintain and reasonably implement a repeat-infringer policy, described separately, and accommodate standard technical measures under 17 U.S.C. § 512(i).
Misrepresentations
Knowingly and materially false notices or counter-notices can create liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Do not submit a notice because you dislike a work or its creator.
